WebCame across a couple year old thread on here that explains very easily how to reset a bricked controller. Simply take out the batteries and plug the controller into a powered-on console. Power button should light up within a few minutes (mine took a mere 30 seconds). Controller is operating normally and was even able to update it. WebJun 14, 2024 · To be more specific, when you initially power up the machine, hit F10 to get into the lifecycle controller and see if you update the lifecycle firmware from there, and then retry the idrac update. With Dell servers it is a good idea to always update the lifecycle controller firmware and BIOS before updating anything else. These links may help:
