If you must have the shortcut on the desktop you can still create a shortcut to the "W8LaunchWithAgent.bat" file in the "C:\CF" or "C:\Tools\CF". You can find it here: http://mad-god.webs.com/cosmicforge.htm Personally, I like to use the two savegame editors here, down in the "Wizardry Editors and Data Viewers" section.
